It Seems We're Never Really Ready....

This weekend three people I know, lost loved ones. Betty Armato's mother was 89 years old with cancer, some dimentia but a wonderful attitude and sense of humor. Betty is a product of her mother with the same attitude and sense of humor. Mr. Ray Schoss was our next door neighbor when we lived on 507 Parallel Ave., back in 1956. He was a strict dad who reared his son Mike to respect others, his country and obey his parents. He was a soft spoken man with an incredible sense of humor. He served others even in his 80's with Jeanne as they worked together serving Meals on Wheels. We celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary 3 years ago with Grahame and Barbara Treasure from England. He was 85...and I know Jeanne, Mike and Robin will miss his wonderful sense of humor.
Then, this morning sitting church, I gasped as Ron Moore said Christian Sarniak passed away in his mother's arms Saturday morning! Christian was born into the family of Bill and Kim and early on in her pregnancy the doctor's wanted her to abort this baby that had TRS 1...but she refused knowing God is the Giver of Life. Her prayer was that she would be able to at least hold her living baby.....but God allowed even Bill and Kim and the children to hold Christian when they brought him home. The doctor's said he would only live maybe 24 hours...then 2 days...then maybe a week....then a month. Well Bill and Kim knew God would decide how long....so they took pleasure in the life God gave them...and he lived for 100 days! It's been a hard thing for them, but the love and grace coming to them from God and His people are sustaining them. I will write more after I go to the memorial service tomorrow. I can't even imagine how they must feel. God please continue to sustain them.
