- Corey has been staying with us since August 2nd (2007) and has been such a blessing! The main purpose was P-T-Training....and success came.
We saw horses, donkeys and sheep...and on Sunday morning there were cows about 6-7 all over the road by Tishok's barn. Corey thought that was great as I was maneuvering around to miss those huge cows.
Every evening he wanted to have his picture taken as the sun was setting. We tried, but the only one that came out right, was on the first evening.
He helped me cook Quaker Oats, tuna and noodles, and we baked blueberry muffins. He painted some but the thing he enjoyed doing the most was putting together puzzles...especially the Tortoise and the Hare. Also I read him T-Bone the Babysitter about 10 times, Safety First about 8 times and the Bible story of when Mary was told by the angel about Jesus being born.
In the car on the way home I didn't want him to fall asleep...so I made up a story with some grapes I had in the lunch box. The first was Grape-O....and when Grape-O was done talking, I gave him to Corey to eat. Then came Grape-E, and last was Grape-U....each time he got to eat our "new friends". We reached home and down he went for a wonderful nap. Thank you Lord for Proverbs 8:12!
This was a most pleasant experience to really bond with Corey. He said, "Grandma, you are the
most wonderful grandma in the whole world!" Yes, my heart just melted! How grateful I am to spend time with my kiddo's.Tags: | Edit Tags Monday August 6, 2007 - 11:04pm (EDT) Edit | Delete | Permanent Link | 0 Comments
