Wow!!! It's hard to believe the year is 2017!!! John went to heaven December 28, 2015 and I've
been a widow for over a year now. It's weird, to tell the truth and I should have been writing about it long before this. The first year was like a blur and hardly remember anything except the highlights. Di coming to my rescue bringing Julie Steele (my Georgia Peach) who helped me get organized and get rid of so much stuff!! Four garage sales...with Dianna, Jim and Barb Underkofler, Brianna and Jeremy helping me. Also Betty Vandergrift helping on another one.
Went to Grief Share and even though I didn't think it was helping me, I remember calling Cathie McCormick saying, This (GS) really didn't seem to help me, however on the third week,
Video part....A lady said, "If you had been taking care of someone for a long period of time, that also was part of your grief." Well that hit a chord with me, because John had been in and out of the hospital since 2008. So many surgeries: quadruple by-pass (Feb 2008) Then we moved from the country (which I was very sad to do) (September 2008.) December, Dr. Gabriel
found an aneurysm (Aorta), and was operated on March 2009. some other surgeries.....
will write about them later...(cant remember right now) ( I was working from 2007 to 2010) Not sure of the exact date, but think May 2010, my brother Tom and I were on the phone Sunday night and he sounded wonderful. the next morning...Sunday, I had a message to call St. Vincent
and "I knew" something had happened to him. St. Vincent took care of everything and I was completely in shock. Barely remember anything....except being in shock. Going back to work was unbelievable...could not concentrate on anything. Worked on and off until October, and then finally quit! Bill Harmon and Jen Sivavec were great....trying to help me.
